What is a Category?

What is a Category?  A Category is the way the Challenges are grouped together.  If you have Challenges that are Fitness related, you can create a Category called Fitness and then on the Final Ranking Report all your Fitness Challenges will be under a Category Header called Fitness.

What is a Journal?

What is a Journal?  A Journal is a way for you as a Coach to see what the Players are doing on their own time.  After a Player does something that is related to their sport, say watch a soccer game, the Player will login and enter a Journal record for watching a game.  If they spent 30 minutes sprinting or juggling or shooting, they can go online and enter what they did and the amount of time they spent doing it.  It will then allow you to print out and have during your evaluations with the player to either show them they worked hard in their personal time and that is why they improved or they didn't do anything in their personal time and that is why they didn't improve.

What is the Evaluation Form?

What is the Evaluation Form? I got tied of either hand writing evaluations or typing them up for my players only to forget them or loose them so this is a way for your to enter Evaluations for your players after a season and then email it to them or be able to refer back to them at a later date.  The Evaluation Form is customizable so you can add fields and questions that fit your sport.

What is the Attendance?

What is the Attendance? This is just another way for you as a Coach to give feedback to your players.  You can let them know at their evaluations that they missed 48% of your training sessions and that is why they aren't seeing the field as much or improving as much as they should have been.

What is a Multiplier?

What is a Multiplier?  The multiplier is the amount of importance you place on a challenge. The Speed Ladder challenge has a multiplier of 5 because it shows the fastest player on your team, whereas the Pushup challenge shows how many pushup a player can do.  It isn't really a high importance so that has a multiplier of 1.  The total average is calculated by taking the players ranking and multiplying it with the multiplier.  So if a player has a ranking of 3 for Speed Ladder and ranking of 6 for Pushups.  The caculation is 3*5 + 6*1 = 21

How is the Total field calculated in the Final Ranking Report?

How is the Total field calculated in the Final Ranking Report?  The total field is calculated by taking the players ranking and multiplying it with the multiplier and then taking the average by dividing by the number of challenges that player has completed.  So if a player has a ranking of 3 for Speed Ladder and ranking of 6 for Pushups.  The caculation is 3*5 + 6*1 = 21 / 2 = 10.5  - The report will only display 21 in the Total field but it is actually sorted by a hidden field called average which has 10.5 in it for this player.  This is so a player with few challenges won't automatically jump to the top of the ranking.
